J'Lau

Although the J'Lau are a colony of creatures, they actually behave as though they are linked together as though they were a single organism. They drift through the Jovian currents and able to survive in the upper layers of the atmoshpere where there is less powerful winds and pressure. They feed on the energy from the sun and electricity as a source of food but are also capable of feeding on smaller organisms. The large tentacle arms help them navigate and sail through the winds while the smaller tentacles dangling below them are used to grab food.

It is possible that these creatures are possibly semi-sentient yet able to respond through telepathic communications.

About a few thousands of years ago, a Tyrannian expedition team travelled to the Sol System to study the planets of their ancestral home, along with Earth to know more about how their ancestors. A female Seernite researcher discovered something within the largest planet from one of their probes and amazed to find life thriving on Jupiter despite it's tremendous storms and hostile environments. The Sha'dahl Empire sent another to learn more about them and other native lifeforms that evolve alongside them but one of their Amejai accidently made a telepathic link to one of the creatures and astonished that they very intelligent and how they existed without the Sha'dahls' awareness for a number of millennium.

By the time when the Sol Confederacy has colonized the entire solar system in the near mid-21st century the Jovian colonists discovered their presence and later made first contact with the creatures. Given them the nickname "Jovian Floaters" by their appearance of jellyfish.
